University Hills Optimist (UHO) Little Miss Kickball league (or simply, "UHO LMK" or "UHO Kickball") is a sports organization for young ladies, 4-18. Through kickball, UHO provides a game that's easy to learn, highly-competitive, and useful for developing young girls physically, mentally, and socially.

Some of you know me, but let me introduce myself. My name is Dennis. I am the 2010 webmaster of the UHO LMK website. I tell you this because most often, I write in the plural voice, “we”, when putting content on the website. I’m going to put aside the “we” for a moment and share a little bit of “me,” but not for the sake of gaining attention. Just follow along; you’ll see what I mean.
Many of us involved with UHO wear many “hats.” To that end, I am no exception. I say that to set the context for another role I play: kickball fan. I am a huge fan of Little Miss Kickball-branded kickball.
While of necessity I had on my assistant coach and scorekeeper hats the other day, I also had the pleasure of wearing my “fan” hat. I was one fan in the company of many, many others who witnessed a classic game worthy of Game of the Season in anybody’s consideration.
The UHO Beastettes and NWA Gladiators put on a legendary Teenagers division game that went ten innings. For film buffs, it was reminiscent of the first Rocky movie. Just like that movie and the fictional fighters involved, yesterday’s game was one worthy of a championship crown hanging in the balance. Even more, it was a game of contrasts.
We want to notify you of a number of changes to the schedule of UHO teams for today's previously scheduled games.
Game 110, Cherry Dimez v. NWA Turquoise (Teenagers), has been postponed via a coach's request and will be rescheduled for another date.
Game 66, Jaguars v. Lady Divas (Juniors), will be rescheduled for another date.
Game 58, Red Hotz v. Divas (Rookies), will be rescheduled for another date.
Therefore, there will only by two games tonight involving UHO teams.
At 6:00 PM, on field UHO2, Wildkatz will take on the Starburst Kickers in a Rookies match-up.
At 7:20 PM, on field UHO2, NWA Heliconia visits UHO to play against Eclipse in a Teenagers match-up.
Again, as soon as we have information concerning the new dates and times for games 58, 66, and 100, we will let you know.
Unfortunately, due to injuries on Blue Thunder, the coaching staff of Blue Thunder has requested to postpone tonight's game against Central Austin Pink. We will update you as soon as we have information concerning when the game will next be played.

On Sunday, April 11th, 2010, three of UHO's four Teenagers teams collide in an intraleague double-header for more momentum within the UHO league standings.
Both the Beastettes and Eclipse are coming off of District losses, while Blue Thunder enters Sunday with a huge, one-sided win in their last game, winning by a score of 17-1.
The Beastettes got the best of Eclipse in an early season clash, winning by a score of 8-6.
The Beastettes and Blue Thunder will meet for the first time this season. These two teams will collide again on Wednesday, 4/14.
All games will take place on Field 2.
The first game, Blue Thunder vs. the Beastettes, starts at 4 PM. The second game, the Beastettes vs. Eclipse, will start approximately at 5:30 PM.

We have finally posted scores for games played through April 8th. There are still a couple of scores outstanding. As soon as we get those into our database, we'll post those as well. From here on out, we will post scores the same day as the games. The only exception might be for Teenagers games played away from UHO; those scores may be posted the next day. You should now see a link for the scores at the top of the web page.
In addition to the posting of scores, we've updated the master schedule. All games that were previously rained out from March 24th have been rescheduled and/or played.

The grass has been trimmed. The weeds have been cut. New dirt has been added. Repairs have been done. Lights have been changed. The fields are ready. Now UHO Kickball teams take their first steps toward league and District IV championships. The teams will be there. Will you? Read about tonight's match-ups here and make your plans to attend.
