The rain, though much needed, has done it again and has forced us to postpone today's games. Today's game may be moved to Friday. As soon as we get details, we will publish them here.

Time has flown once again to that special time in our season! We are pleased to have our annual Rookie/Pee-Wee Spirit Day tomorrow, April 14th, at UHO. The day will include a double-elimination tourney for the five Rookie teams as well as a couple of Pee-Wee games and a spirit contest.
The first round of match-ups for the Rookie tourney are listed below.
Rookie Games 4-9: Starting at 12:30 pm on both fields. Please note that the championship game is scheduled to start at 2:15. If a second-championship game is forced, it will begin at 3:15.
Come on out and support the Pee-Wee and Rookie teams; they are the future of our program!

This past weekend, the University Hills Optimist Club held its inaugural Easter Egg Hunt. The event drew a number of kids and parents to the fields for a great morning of fun and surprises. You can view a number of the photos taken by clicking here for the Facebook album. Thanks to all who came out and supported the event, whether you volunteered, hunted, or just hung around to watch the festivities.
See the links at the top to access the scores and standings pages. There are some outstanding (as in yet-to-be-reported-officially) game scores. Once we get those scores, we will update the scores and standings.
We know that one of the most-visited areas of the website during the season is that of Standings. It's an obvious point of pride when your team is sitting at the top of their division standings. The Scores page is heavily visited as well.
Never fear; we will publish the scores and standings to the website at the end of this week. We've already got a number of games and scores into our database and we'll get this week's remaining games recorded at the end of Thursday's game play. Where possible, we will try to have the scores and standings updated twice a week, so as to stay as current as we can (but don't hold us to that... yet).
Over the last couple of weeks, we've had a number of challenges affect our kickball games and experience at UHO.
Prior to the season starting, we lost a lamp post, which fell onto Field 3 and had to be removed. This affected several adjacent lights, and has left Field 3 in a darker state at night. Field 2 is darker as well, but mainly behind homeplate.
Last week, heavy rains on Wednesday halted game play and forced us to perform some emergency field maintenance on Saturday and Sunday. If you were at the games yesterday, you may have noticed the change on the field, as we've added some additional dirt and a field conditioner that should make the ground much more absorbent when the rains do come.
Some bulbs in the remaining lamp posts have gone out permanently, while others have unpredictably gone out and come back working without explanation. Last week, to address the lighting situation, we rented a portable light stand and placed it between the fields to shed light on both. However, because of limited budget, we can't continue renting lights for each week.

It's only been a little over a week since Opening Day, but time is of the essence to get photos taken.
Processing has begun on all Rookies and Pee-Wees photos. These photos should get to the photo lab by the end of this week.
Processing has also begun on photos for the following Juniors teams:
The following teams have taken individual photos (and still have some outstanding), but not a team picture:
The following teams have taken team photos, BUT NO INDIVIDUAL photos:
The following teams have taken NEITHER a team photo NOR any individual photos yet:
This Thursday, 4/5, we will take pictures from 6 PM until 7:30 PM. If you are a player and have not taken your individual photo, you may do so at that time. YOU DO NOT have to wait for your team in order to take your individual photo. By Thursday or Friday of this week, we will publish a schedule for picture-taking next week.
Coaches, even if your girls are not playing on a given night, encourage them to get their individual photos taken as soon as possible.
Parents, because of the way in which we order photos, it is never too late to put in an order for photo packages and other specialty items. You can download an order form (see the Attachments section below), print it out, fill it out, and bring it to UHO (along with cash or money order payment) to give to Natalie, Kelli, Shelli, or Dennis (ultimately, all order forms will get to Dennis).
